Adventure
Hollow Lantern
★★★★★ 4.5
Hollow Lantern is a slow-burn adventure about exploring an abandoned coastal town by lantern light. There's very little text; most of the story is told through environments, sound, and small interactions. I played it in one sitting with headphones and it fully drew me in.
The puzzles are logical and mostly environmental — you're piecing together what happened rather than solving arbitrary riddles. A couple of sections drag, and there's one stretch where I got genuinely stuck because a clue was too subtle. But the mood is so consistent that I forgave it quickly.
It's short, maybe four hours, and it doesn't overstay its welcome. That restraint is a feature, not a flaw.
