The best games to play with one hand on a crowded train

Some of my favorite games are the ones I can play while hanging onto a rail. One-handed play is an underrated design skill, and the games that nail it become permanent phone residents.

Big Bass Catch is a standout here — every action, from casting to reeling, works with a thumb. It's calm enough that a jolt of the train doesn't ruin your run. Stackyard Tycoon works too, since it's mostly tapping and dragging at your own pace.

Racing games are trickier, but Neon Drift Circuit's tap-to-steer mode is surprisingly viable one-handed once the tracks become familiar. Avoid anything that demands two-thumb precision during a rush-hour standstill; you'll only frustrate yourself.

The trick is matching the game's intensity to your situation. Crowded train means low-stakes and forgiving. Save the tense tactical stuff for the couch.
