Iron Tide Command
Iron Tide Command asks you to think like an admiral, not a general. It's slower and more deliberate than most mobile strategy, built around scouting, protecting supply routes, and choosing when to commit your fleet. The fog of war is genuinely tense — I lost a flagship early on to a squadron I never saw coming, and it stung in a good way.
The campaign teaches you well without holding your hand for too long. Skirmish mode is where I've sunk the most hours, tweaking fleet compositions and trying to out-maneuver the AI. It's not flashy, and the presentation is functional rather than beautiful, but the systems are solid.
If you like strategy that rewards planning over reflexes, this is worth your time. If you want big explosions and instant gratification, look elsewhere.
